Our Story

Black Circle Brewing Company is equal parts micro-brewery, craft beer bar and music venue. We are located in the Double 8 warehouse, now called Refinery 46, in the Midtown / SoBro fringe. We share the building with several local businesses and a co-op working space on the lower level.

Our focus has evolved over the first few years to offer not only house made local beers, but also guest taps from our friends in the industry, a small collection of wines and ciders, mocktails, and even domestics and whatever else may strike us to carry. We want you to come here and drink whatever you want.

*** Fall 2019 Expansion *** With the upcoming development of the Nickel Plate Trail which runs parallel with our patio, we have made plans to move production a few blocks west on 46th street to offer additional seating. The current production space will be transformed into the Elena Ruz restaurant finally answering the question “Where is the restaurant?” The same beer and food menu with a Miami inspired vibe will offer more seating, and an alternative for folks not wishing to attend any event that may be in the taproom that evening. The current taproom will remain unchanged.

The new production space will be located at the corner of 46th and Norwaldo. LOOM will double as a small work from home space with unorthodox amenities.

Thank you for your continued support! Check the social media pages for updates on events, progress on the expansion, and much more.

*Updates-Addressing Customer Questions

-We will always have a full kitchen during business hours. Come hungry! You won’t be disappointed.

-We currently offer carry out Crowler cans filled and sealed on demand. Please NO GROWLERS. With the expansion coming fall 2019, we expect to begin canning small batches, and having more draft around town.

-We are ultra small-batch brewer owners brewing what we like. That may mean that we don’t brew a style you’re looking for, but we will try to fill those gaps with beer from our local/regional breweries. You’ll always be able to find something you like here.
