Lauren Flax has been a lifelong musician, starting to play the drums at 8 years old before continuing on to guitar and bass in high school. She began her DJ career in the underground dance and rave scenes of Detroit as a resident at the Motor Lounge, playing every Tuesday night along with resident DJs Mike Servito, DJ Dilemma, Jason Kendig, and Derek Plaslaiko.
Flax played the very first Detroit Electronic Music Festival in 2000 on the Motor stage. While originally starting off as a jungle DJ, Flax evolved her style into a variety of techno, house, and electro music.

In 2019, Flax joined the mostly Detroit-born New York collective The Bunker New York, on which she released “One Man’s House is Another Woman’s Techno EP” (2019). The EP was highly successful and sold out quickly.

Lindsey Herbert is a commanding figure in today's techno scene, particularly renowned across the US’ Southwest for her unwavering dedication to techno's more underground sounds and sound design, and her ability to command crowds no matter the circumstances.

Beginning as a young raver with an intense passion for dance music and its community, Lindsey began her own musical journey at the age of 15 and has been at it for nearly half of her life. Since her first gig in 2014, she has been a fixture alongside top-tier artists in the bustling scenes of Los Angeles and San Francisco, leaving an indelible mark on both cities. Originally a resident and booker of Robot Ears and now a resident of Direct to Earth, Lindsey has been an integral part of San Francisco's techno landscape, while also gracing the stages of prominent LA promoters such as OBSERVE, Synthetik Minds, 6AM, Dirty Epic, RE/FORM, and more. Her influence extends beyond borders with steady headlining gigs both domestically and internationally, while her more recent relocation to Phoenix sees her actively nurturing the local techno community as a resident of Techno Snobs.

In 2019, Lindsey made her solo production debut on LA's Ascetic Limited, marking the beginning of a prolific journey in the studio. Her discography has grown exponentially, with recent drops on esteemed U.S. underground labels like Truncate, 4-Trk, Blank Code, Northern Parallels, and Crisis of Man, as well as notable European and South American imprints such as Noise Manifesto, Planet X, NECHTO, Suara and many others. The future holds even more promise with countless forthcoming releases on the horizon.

However, Lindsey's trajectory extends far beyond her production career. Notably, she graced the stages of Movement Festival in Detroit and the iconic Tresor in Berlin in 2023, further solidifying her presence on the global stage. Additionally, she was personally invited by techno luminary Richie Hawtin to tour throughout North America as part of his From Our Minds concept, further cementing her status in the industry.

In a noteworthy evolution, Lindsey's personal sound has transitioned to a more hypnotic, groovy, and dancefloor-oriented style. Her sets, ranging from ambient to deep to peak-time and high-energy, are meticulously crafted to suit the atmosphere, aiming to immerse listeners in a captivating journey and lock them into a relentless groove.

Beyond her performances and productions, Lindsey is also a co-founder of EvilGroove, a burgeoning label that continues to expand its roster of talented emerging artists. The label has been actively hosting showcases, providing a platform for the next generation of techno talent to shine.

With her dynamic sound, magnetic stage presence, and relentless dedication to pushing boundaries, Lindsey Herbert stands as a formidable force in the technosphere, leaving an indelible mark wherever she goes.

Genix announces new album & tour ‘YOU.ME.NOW’ with rave-centric single ‘Dance Like Nobody’s Watching / On & On’.

Accomplished DJ and producer Damion 'Damo' Houchen, a.k.a. Genix, has kept momentum high since the release of his debut album, ‘199X’, in 2021. Recent years have seen the Anjunabeats linchpin close Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy Weekender at The Gorge Amphitheatre, launch his club-oriented ‘Warehouse55’ EP series and event brand, and sell out two headline Warehouse 55 events in London and Los Angeles.

Genix’s last EP on Anjunabeats, ‘Warehouse55 (Volume 2)’, earned support from Sasha, John Digweed, Joris Voorn, Rebūke, Armin van Buuren and more. He followed that up last year with an extensive North American tour, as well as with remixes of Andrew Bayer & Vök’s ‘No Silence’ and OceanLab’s ‘Beautiful Together’.

‘Dance Like Nobody’s Watching / On & On’ is the latest single from Genix’s second studio album ‘YOU.ME.NOW’, out 14th June on Anjunabeats. The floor-filling double A-side arrives hot on the heels of ‘Lights, Sound, Camera, Action’, a collaborative single with flowanastasia that featured on BBC Match of the Day and saw multiple spins on Sirius XM BPM and Diplo’s Revolution, as well as ‘Dependent On You’, which earned support from Danny Howard on BBC Radio 1 and Ben Malone on Kiss FM.

Building on years of innovation and versatility across the spectrum of electronic music, Genix comes full circle on his upcoming album ‘YOU.ME.NOW’. An established DJ and producer who’s maintained his status as an innovator for the duration of his career, and following an unbeatable run of releases that’s cemented him as one of the leading artists on Anjunabeats, Genix was inspired to look towards his roots on his sophomore album.
